12.01.21 – Winter vegetation survey that found 47 plant taxa (1:30hrs)

Would like to go back when there’s less snow and ID some of the plantation conifers to species as well as checking all the Ulex to see how many species are present. Be nice to have a better go at the grasses and mosses too.

There’s a nice bit of natural woodland where the “123” is on the OS map below. At the time I thought it resembled W16 (Quercus – Betula – Deschampsia) but it’d be nice to go again and confirm, see a photo below.
