Titterstone Clee – 19.03.25
Yesterday, Jake and I decided to drive out to Titterstone Clee Hill to catch what ended up cracking sunset.

St. Peter’s Church & Dick Brook – 18.03.25
Lauren and I ventured out before tea to have a spring mooch around St. Peter’s Churchyard in Astley. We then walked down into the Dick Brook valley to admire the old packhorse bridge and ancient trackway leading to Glasshampton Monastery. We saw wild garlic Allium ursinum a plenty, and two grey wagtail in the brook near the bridge.

After a visit nearby to look for yellow star of Bethlehem (and failing to relocate it). I headed over to Knapp and Papermil for a wander through and out the other side to Alfrick. Wood anemone Anemone nemorosa was just starting to flower in the ancient wooded areas, a fallen elm was flowering adjacent to the footpath.
The walk along the lanes through Alfrick was pleasant and I stopped to admire the shelter which was funded by the Alfrick Old Tyme Dance Committee in 1953 to commemorate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

It feels good to be getting out and about again. Spring has definitely sprung, and I can sense it in my bones. Here’s to more sunshine, flowers and after-work adventures.
